How it works

How we match you
with the right broker.

No broker pays for leads. Every recommendation is earned through response time, satisfaction, and match quality — tracked transparently across every engagement on the platform.

The principle

Brokers compete on quality,
not commission.

The superyacht industry has long rewarded brokers who spend the most on marketing, not those who serve clients best. YachtAuthorities inverts that dynamic. The broker you meet is the broker who has earned it — through measurable performance, not marketing budget.

The rotation engine

Four principles that govern every introduction.

01

Intelligence scoring

Every broker on the platform carries a live intelligence score derived from three inputs: response time to enquiries, client satisfaction ratings, and match quality on past briefs. Scores update after each completed engagement.

02

Rotation fairness

When a new enquiry arrives, the rotation engine ranks eligible brokers against the brief — vessel type, destination, budget range, and timing. The highest-scoring eligible broker earns the introduction. No exceptions for tenure or seniority.

03

Satisfaction tracking

After each charter or transaction, both the client and broker are surveyed. Those results feed directly into the intelligence score — meaning every interaction either builds or erodes a broker's standing. There is no floor that cannot be reached.

04

No paid placement

Brokers cannot pay to appear higher in results. There are no featured listings, sponsored slots, or commission-sharing arrangements that influence which broker you meet. The only currency is performance.

What we measure

The four signals that build an intelligence score.

01

Response time

How quickly a broker responds to a new brief, measured in hours from first contact.

02

Satisfaction score

Aggregated client ratings across all completed engagements on the platform.

03

Match quality

How closely the broker's recommended vessels aligned with the submitted brief — scored by the client at close.

04

Completion rate

The proportion of introductions that result in a completed booking or transaction.

Questions

Common questions about the system.

Can a broker buy their way to the top?

No. Placement in results is determined entirely by the intelligence score. There is no mechanism for a broker to pay for improved ranking. Brokers can improve their score only by performing better.

What happens when a broker underperforms?

Brokers whose scores drop below the platform threshold are suspended from receiving new introductions until they complete a performance review. Repeated underperformance results in removal from the platform.

Are all brokers vetted before joining?

Yes. Every broker undergoes identity verification, licensing checks where applicable, and a reference review before being approved to receive introductions. The rotation engine is the second layer of quality control — vetting is the first.

How do I know the satisfaction scores are real?

Satisfaction surveys are sent directly to the client after each engagement, not routed through the broker. Brokers cannot see individual survey responses — only their aggregated score. Survey responses that appear anomalous (e.g. 12 five-star ratings in 24 hours) are flagged for manual review.

Can I request a specific broker?

Yes. Members can request a specific broker by name. That request bypasses the rotation engine and is handled as a direct introduction. The rotation engine is used only when no preference is stated.
